School Uniform
The uniform consists of:
- Grey/black trousers or skirts
- White/pale blue shirts, blouses, polo shirts (with or without school logo)
- Royal blue cardigan or school sweatshirt with the school logo
Following the Covid lockdowns, children wear their PE kit all day on their PE days.
- Shorts (black or blue)
- Royal blue T-shirt (optional with school logo)
- Black plimsolls (indoors) and trainers (outdoors)
- In colder weather, a plain tracksuit is also required (preferably blue/black)
Sweatshirts and T-shirts are available from Trutex (formerly The National Schoolware Shop) in Newbury and Didcot. The school keeps a stock of bookbags for new starters to school.
In the summer, royal blue gingham dresses may be worn. These are standard dresses available from many stores in Newbury and Reading, e.g. Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury's. Grey or black shorts may be worn in the Summer also.
All children should wear strong, comfortable school shoes to school (no boots). At lunchtime all children are allowed to play on the field and should bring a spare pair of trainers to change into. In bad weather they will also need a change of clothing separate from their PE kit as they may get very muddy, if they choose to play football or another sport on the field! Clean plimsolls and trainers should be available every day to change into for physical education. Plimsolls for indoor PE and trainers for outdoor PE.
High standards of appearance and grooming are expected. Jewellery, make-up, hair-gel, nail varnish and earrings are not acceptable. If a watch is worn to school, it is the responsibility of your child.
ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING SHOULD BE NAMED. Children should bring a bag for sports and/or spare clothes.
P.E. kit and outdoor trainers must be kept in school all week. Please send kit in on Monday morning to be sent home on Friday afternoon.
